Happy Birthday, Mallory. You would have turned sixteen today. :) I wanted to say thank you for being my friend and there's no one like you. Your trademark smile and happy attitude always made everyone feel better and I miss it. You're one of the nicest people I will ever know, but I know you're spreading your cheer to others now.

Having someone close to you pass away is always hard, no matter what, but you learn to move on and deal with it in your own way. A couple days ago was my friend's one year anniversary since she passed away and I felt at peace with it as I usually am. Some days are harder than others though like today. I was watching the news and I heard about this man that saved a little girl before he drowned and it reminded me of Mallory in a way. All the news about local drownings is hard to hear, especially around this time. With the heat wave going on here it just shows how much you have to be careful around lakes, rivers, pools, etc.

I miss her so much and it's hard to believe that a year has passed already. Her twin brothers just finished their first year in college and her little brother is going on to high school coming fall. Sometimes I can't believe that she isn't here with us to go through high school together and the fact that she's missing so much on life she never got to experience or do. It's hard, but she'll always be there in memory and we'll never forget her. Some days we just need a little reminding that she's not really gone.

Rest in peace, Mallory. We miss you and we love you.

It's been a while since I've been on here and the first of seeing the new design for livejournal. I've actually cleaned up all my old entries and I'm starting anew. Hopefully this will be like a journal where I can talk about things like how my day went, vent about all the bad things, and write all my thoughts down somewhere.

Right now, for a writing project, I'm working on the TMB writing marathon. I got a late start on it since I was away for the fourth of July, but if I do a couple each day than it shouldn't be too bad. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to win, but I like writing for the prompts that she gives us and it gives me a chance to see how my story will turn out. The main plot has been floating around in my head for a long time and when the writing marathon came up and I needed a story plot to work with, it became a great opportunity to start it and hopefully finish it as well. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

For the past two or three days, I've been caught up with Harper's Island. My sister started watching it on my laptop, since her computer sound is busted, and I found it really interesting. It was great timing though since the season finale was tonight and I managed to watch all the episode until the finale. I was absolutely disappointed that Henry was the killer, along with Wakefield, since he was one of my favorites. Him, Cal, Sully, Shane, and Booth. Shane was creepy at first, but he grew on me... after he escaped from prison. At first I didn't like Sully, but once the episodes continued I could see that he was learning more about himself and I wished that he would have gone on the boat with Shea and Madison instead of staying behind. Cal and Chloe was my favorite couple on the show. They were so funny and in love and how they died was heartbreaking. I love Cal and his accent. :)

I decided to take a break from writing to go figure out how this all works. Since this is a first entry I think I should start by introducing myself. :)

My name isn't really Bella if you haven't figured that out, but it's Kathy. I use Bella1992 as a username for mostly everything since I think Bella is a pretty name... and once I started using it, I had to keep it 'cause I can't remember different usernames.

I try to spend my time writing, but life gets busy a lot and it's hard having to balance out what you want to do with what you actually have to do. I have two more years of high school and than I'll be free... but onto college and medical school. It's gonna be a blast. In the meantime though, I'll enjoy the time I do have writing and hopefully get better with time.
